Complex or low-quality scans are explicitly supported, and there is no extra charge for them.

DocMersion currently works only with publicly accessible document links — PDFs and other supported formats that anyone can reach via a public URL. It cannot process documents on intranets, behind logins, or otherwise restricted from public access. The team is working on expanding to private and intranet environments, but that capability is not yet available.
No. DocMersion can only activate on publicly accessible document links. If a PDF is on an intranet, behind a login, VPN, or any access control, DocMersion cannot retrieve or process it. It does not circumvent authentication, firewalls, or permissions in any way. Restricted documents remain restricted.
Screen readers will announce the presence of an accessible version and the keyboard shortcuts available to navigate the DocMersion viewer. The accessible version can be toggled directly with Ctrl + Shift + V, along with additional shortcuts available through the hotkeys menu.
DocMersion provides an accessible HTML version for reading, navigating, translating, and understanding the form content. Users can still download or open the original PDF to complete and submit the form in their PDF viewer. This ensures the form content is accessible while preserving existing submission workflows.

No additional remediation work is required on your end. Continue posting PDFs as usual. DocMersion automatically detects when a document at a given URL has changed and reprocesses it, keeping the accessible version current. Optional manual edits and fine-tuning are available but not required.
